Lincoln Festival of History: Castle Zone
Hold on tight and jump on board as we take you on a journey through time. From the Romans, through to the Victorians: experience the sights and sounds of the past, and witness spectacular re-enactments as history comes alive in front of your eyes.
Meet a vibrant array of characters as we introduce you to some of Lincoln Castle’s finest, and enjoy the entertainment put on especially for you.

You can access the event with a Lincoln Castle day ticket or with an Annual Pass.
Don’t forget that your journey doesn’t stop here! Be sure to visit our Victorian Zone at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life where a Victorian adventure awaits you. And travel to our Museum Zone to meet the Mighty Romans and discover real artefacts from the city’s past at Lincoln Museum.

Throughout the day you can visit our Roman, Viking and Medieval living history camps. Make sure you make time to greet our special guests, King William, Lady Nicola de la Haye and William Marshal. Enter the Victorian prison and meet our characters within. We even have some Victorian entertainment in the Prison Exercise Yard to enjoy!
