Our team of lively, positive volunteers help turn our visitors' day out into a walk through 1000 years of history, and you could be one of them.
In order that we can invest the time and support all our volunteers deserve to give the most informed and warmest welcome to our visitors, we are planning to resume our volunteer applications in the new year in readiness for welcoming thousands of visitors again in April 2024
We are recruiting to a number of inspiring roles in our team:
Visitor Experience Outdoor Volunteers
As part of our award winning team, you'll welcome visitors to our site including the Medieval Wall Walk. Volunteering outdoors in all weathers you'll provide a warm, friendly welcome and an outstanding goodbye to all our visitors.
Visitor Experience Indoor Volunteers
As part of our award winning team, you'll welcome visitors to our site including the Magna Carta, Victorian Prison, Shop and Café. Volunteering across our attractions you could be making sales in the shops, cleaning tables in the café or checking tickets at the entrance to the Victorian Prison. No two days are the same!
Grounds Volunteers
As part of our award winning team, you'll help to make the grounds of the Castle look fantastic at all times. Volunteering outdoors in all weathers you'll be assisting with all horticultural tasks such as weeding and pruning as well as keeping the grounds litter free at all times.
